INTERNATIONAL STUDENT’S ADMISSIONS:

Africa Institute Seattle is opened to all International Students from all countries and continents that wish to either take a course or courses for self-enrichment or certificate program in African Studies. The process for admission is the same for International and American students, except that International Students must have taken and passed TOEFL and passed with a score of 550 (213) for the computer based TOEFL; a Cambridge Exam Score of “C” of higher is also acceptable to Africa Institute Seattle for the purpose of admissions. International students who are not in the United States at the time of applying for admission to Africa Institute Seattle, must wait for a period of approximately 10 to 16 weeks for the completion of their application for admission and the U.S. residency and immigration processes. The reason for this delay is due to some difficulties many students from some countries encounter when obtaining a United States Visa.
